I believe the rules said that subtitles you add yourself are okay. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

Oh wait, were you talking about a bumper? In that case, I'd run it by whoever's running the contest. I had to cut off some of the music in the video that I sent to Otakon in order to make it compliant with their no-bumpers-and-no-credits rule. On the other hand, though, Skyfire was allowed to keep his bumper and credits in his video... probably because the joke in the ending credits (that carried over from the vid proper) was really funny.

AnimeUSA's website says the deadline is Oct. 10. :?:
Where does it say that on the site?
In the link you provided, http://www.animeusa.org/musicvideocontest.html
The first sentence under "Deadline".

I'm hoping Nov 1 is the actual deadline.

Did you even check the page? It doesn't mention October 10th anywhere on it... anymore. But it used to.

yeah, the rules changed recently. I think Oct 10th was LAST year's deadline. Little slow this year ;)

Anyways, I'm pretty sure Jason isn't gonna be able to make the con, so who wants to take his spot on TWL and let me make fun of them for an hour? :D

Yes, of course I checked the page. I wouldn't have remembered exactly what it said if I didn't.
However, my computer remembered (it was cached). I hit refresh and it updated.
