Unless you can't be bothered with silly things like "rules".
Well I dont really like this rules not much, but the forum is great, and the rules are just to strict for me, there not plain and simple as the ones at my board.

Kid, you haven't seen "strict".

Try the Something Awful forums sometime. You'd get eaten alive there. The animemusicvideos.org forums are like a wide-open grassy meadow by comparison.

Really, is it too tough to make a sig and avatar that meet the .org's criteria?

Da-yumn. Me be honored.

Took the liberty of checking this guy's site, and seeing what he'd done AMV-wise.

If I didn't know any better I'd say he was a well-thought out prank.

Of the two videos on the site, both are DBZ, both are in RealMedia.

The songs?

"In the End" and "Enter Sandman". Wow. Just...wow.

so he's just starting out, everybody has to start out somewhere right, and i don't see where you get off being all high and mighty. All he was trying to do is get people to join his contest, and all you do is give him a hard time.

Im still waiting for somebody to make an "In the end" video done right. No one seems to make one that actually pays attention to the lyrics. I was actually thinking that Hoshi No Koe would go well with In the end, I should try and make it. Anyways as to the high and mighty comment, I think that statement is un called for, he could have said something a whole lot worse. Besides everybody is entitled to their own opinions.
"What about us lesbians? . . . Your gonna burn in hell of course!" - MXC
"Hey dont knock masturbation, its sex with someone I love!" -- Woody Allen
"Evil will always triumph 'cuz good is dumb!" - Dark Helmet

I don't have a problem with anyone starting out, but when someone seems to go out of their way to begin so goofy-foot wrong on all counts, I can't help but point it out.
  • HAY GUYS I'm running a contest, but you gotta join my forums to be in it!
  • Oversized avatar and sig, which when pointed out elicits "It's not a problem on my forums, why should they be a problem here?" (Because we've got rules, Sparky)
  • Personal AMVs and site which epitomize the LinkinBall style.
If he weren't such a walking stereotype, I'd pretty much have let it go. But it wasn't until he started barking back about not changing his avatar and sig that I came back at him.

As for the high and mighty bit, yeah, I can be arrogant sometimes. After over a decade in the AMV field, I think I've earned the experience to tell someoneelse they're going about things the wrong way. I'd love to see this guy do something other than a DBZ video.

TommyRude's "Ep. 27 : In the End" is about the best I've seen, with a great chromakey effect. It still isn't perfect, but it's better than 90% of the others I've seen that use it.
