That being said, I have a couple of updates for all you creators.
As stated in a previous thread, the Best of Show prize has been changed from a Visa Gift card to an Open Prize. This means you tell me what you want and I'll get it for you and ship it to you so gift certificate to Newegg.com or a Nintendo DS lite are perfect examples. Check out the thread discussion here
Also, a few more updates.
- Tips and Tricks magazine is the main official sponsor of the MikomiCon AGMV contest. The MikomiCon Marketing departments has been very busy. I have made a couple suggestions to marketing such as including a copy of the winning videos with all their magazines with the winner's permission of course (we would NOT distro it with out the artist's permission and input). I don't know if it will happen though.
- Considering the proximity of our due dates with other conventions as well as when the convention is, the rule of "Any video that has won a prior award is ineligible for entry." This rule will only apply to convention AMV contest so if you won an award for an online contest, you are still perfectly eligible. Along those lines too, If you won at a convention but the convention was after the due date i.e. you won the AWA contest, you video will still be eligible since you won after the MikomiCon contest Deadline
- Lastly, in an effort to help you artists, I am adding a 3rd submission type. This is the Download Submission. This will make it easier for artists to submit their works. If you would like submit using this method, all you have to do is send an email to AMGV@mikomicon.com. Include in this email the same information found on the submission form found herealong with a link to the video or a page containing the video. If there are problems, then I will contact you.
This is a fan run convention and for the AGMV contest, all the artists on this site are what makes a contest fantastic. If you have any questions, post them here, PM me or email AGMV@mikomicon.com
