Wai-con 2004 AMV competition

ok, here are the rules for the Wai-con AMV competition.

the convention is being held on the 11th and 12th of december

1 - All videos must be produced in Australia/ NZ. videos produced elsewhere will not be accepted

2 - Maximum of three videos per person/group

3 - They shouldn't be overly violent or graphic in a sexual manner. remember the con is family orientated.

4 - Acceptable formats are - Divx, Xvid, Mpeg, AVI, WMV, MPEG 2, DVD and ASF.
Please no realmedia or QuickTime files. these will cause nothing but problems as the screening computer will NOT have the programs installed to run these files.

5 - All entries must be in by Tuesday 30 november. NO LATER! you can swap your videos between exhibition and comp up to the 10th of december. this will allow time for the screening to be structured.

6 - We reserve the rights to deny entry to the competition, for any reason.

7 - Video must be made of anime/video game footage. live footage is accepted. However, it is restricted to a maximum of 10% of the total footage.

8 - Please limit all intros/outros to 3 seconds max. if any longer, the intro/outro will be removed from the video

9 - Approval MUST be given by any other creators if their work is used at all, failure to do so will result in instant disqualification. This can be an e-mail forwarded from them (with contact information) or a letter. It must be submitted with the videos.

10 – Contest entrants are encouraged to identify themselves upon entry to the convention to receive information about screening and judging times.

Registering videos

Send the following information to AMVcomp@panic-wa.org with the subject "AMV Information" and also include it with any VHS/CD submissions that you send.

-Studio Name (if applicable)
-Names of creator / creators
-Contact Email address

For each video include the following.
-Video Title
-Video's Creator
-Song Artist
-Song Title
-Video source/s used
-Video website location.

Videos should also include the above information within their introduction.

If you don't have anywhere to place your videos online, contact me and I will setup transfer space on my server.

Any videos that breach the above conditions will be removed at the organiser’s discretion from the competition.
