AWA: Pro contest Upload deadline extension only

Post by madmallard » Thu Jul 29, 2004 11:16 am

If you are using FTP submission uploads, a 1 week extension until 08-04-2004 has been issued for the PROFESSIONAL contest only.

Again, for UPLOAD ONLY. Physical mail in submissions are STILL due tomorro 07-30-2004.

No other contest is affected by this.

How can I get to know if my mail submission arrived? I sent it the 19th via air mail, dunno if it arrives in time, otherwise I'll have to toss it up via ftp...

Does that also affect blank DVDs and submission forms for people who are submitting by FTP?

Nope. If you're submitting via the website upload or something similar, that's what we use for the "in our hands" arrival date. This is for our organizational stuff, assembling the pro 'tape' etc., that's why it can't be late. Sending along the blank media for us to copy onto can be late (since you can't exactly FTP blank disks to us), but please get it to us as fast as you can.

The package should be there tomorrow afternoon. There is no reason why an instate (let alone 30 mile :/) delivery via Priorety should take more than an evening. Even the clerk tried to talk me out of express.

On a related note...

Is there anyone here who would be willing to send three additional blank DVDs on my behalf (is that even allowed?) I'll PayPal the costs of the blanks...

See, I submitted though FTP with the intention to mail out my form and my blank DVDs sometime this week. That was *before* I hurt my achilles tendon and was sentenced to bed-rest (and no post office).

Do I still need to send in a signed form as well, or can I leave the info in a .txt file in the otakuvideo account folder?

IM me if you can help.
