Well I'm here to announce the AMV contest at Wildercon
This is a UK based convention running from 8-10th August in Cosgrove
We are accepting international submissions and these should be in by the
weekending 27th July.
Equally we are happy to accept videos that have already been submitted to
conventions this year, such as Otakon (who happens to run at the same time
as us, only in a different time zone
)Any prizes won by international entrants will be airmailed accordingly.
Also all winning entries will be placed on our AFTERcon CD's for all the
attendees, and one of these cd's will be sent to any international winners
so that they can have a memento of their fame in the UK ^_^
Registration forms for the AMV contest will be available within the next
week, though you are directed to the forum at our site in order to gain the
most up to date information, and equally to provide feedback on any queries
we may have raised.
Submissions are accepted in VHS, or digitised Mpeg-1 or 2.
If there is a problem with getting your digitised file to us, we can provide
a one-off ftp facility.
I really hope we can recieve a good level of international submissions, as I feel that AMV contests should be an event open to all, rather than the few
