Here's an official response (sorry I didn't get to this earlier...on vacation right now on dial-up, so loading the forum not too fun).

As far as entering "twice" to the Pro contest, once as yourself and once as part of a group, it's a little iffy, but should be OK. In theory, someone could start abusing that horribly to get eight or nine entries in, but we'll wait until someone actually tries it before clamping down. No sense in setting up strict rules to prevent something people aren't even going to try.

As far as the "blinding" goes, it's been pointed out that someone who really wants to cheat could hunt down and match up several entries with their makers if they really wanted to. We sort of count on the contestants to make a best effort in the spirit of fairness to judge the entries without doing that. Taking the names off, "blinding" the entries is done to make fair judging easier for the contestants who want to do an honest job. Outside of the contest itself, we just expect contestants to not come on the forum and go "hey guys, my video is #31, the Cowboy Bebop to Linkin Park one, everybody vote for me!" We're not gonna hunt down any clue in the forum and disqualify people for casual, incomplete, or accidental comments. That would just be vindictive.
Als Gregor Samsa eines Morgens aus unruhigen Träumen erwachte, fand er sich in seinem Bett zu einem ungeheueren Ungeziefer verwandelt.
