The Gamex Exhibition Contest

It's a contest, it's an Exhibition! It's more Exhibition then contest, but should be fun anyways. We have 2 hours set asside to show AMVs. 1 hour on Saturday, 1 hour on Sunday. It's a great oppertunity to show/test your videos infront of an audience. The room is 208-seat theater, with built in sound and a rear projector. So 6pm-7pm both days (May 24 & 25th), on Sunday stay and watch 'This is Otakudom' at 7pm.

The Anime/Movie Room is free to everyone, you only have to worry about the $8 daily parking fee. (The convention has a cost, but the Anime Room does not. You don't have to be part of the convention to enter the movie room.) The hotel is also located near several bus stops and LAX airport.

So how do you enter this Contest/Exhibition? It's simple, you just bring a VHS or DVD of your AMVs to the convention. Some time before 6pm you will need to get the Tape or DVD to myself (Anneke). I can usually be located in the small projection room behind the screen. (If you exit the Movie theater make a left and walk down the hall, make another left, and on the Left-hand wall right before the doors to parking structure is a door. Knock on the door.)

Now, what convention contest is not complete without PRIZES! Yes, we will have PRIZES, but these Prizes will not be given out to the best video, etc... They are merely Door Prizes for the people/creators who show up. The prizes will be random, but they do include DVDs, VHS, some Fansubs, Comic Books, Posters, Anime Notebooks, etc... To gain your prize you must also find myself (Anneke) before 6pm on either of the days.

This convention is really a great oppertunity for AMV creators in the LA area to get together a few times a year and socialize. So I hope a few people will stop by. If you have questions, feel free to e-mail me. (vampireanneke@yahoo.com)
