Hi Tritio AFB! You got it, I got three of your submissions. I loved your comedy one and enjoyed the heck outta the action one. The Old school one though is so superb! I could not get enough of the visuals!

Oh no @yatpay, I'm so sorry you missed the deadline! If you'd like, you can still submit your vid to my email, amvushicon@gmail.com
I'm planning to play all the submitted videos in their respective Category at the con, at video room 1 (Action, Drama, Comedy, Old School) will have their own separate viewing at different times of the weekend, so your video can still be showcased if you'd like.
Thank you so much for the well wishes.

AMV Contest Judging Update
Hi there everyone! I'm so grateful for all your submissions for the con! A total of 95 submissions! It's been so insane to see it all unfold!
Here’s a quick overview of how judging will work moving forward:
Judging Process
From now through Friday, February 6, a team of 7 judges, including me, will conduct preliminary judging. From the full pool of entries, we will select 32 finalists total, broken down into 8 finalists per category:
• Action
• Drama
• Comedy
• Old School
In addition, the Best Pirate winner will receive a special, independent prize selected by the Ushicon Convention Chair.
Finalist Screening & Audience Voting
The top 8 videos in each category will be screened during the Audience Choice Awards Panel on:
Friday, February 6 | 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM CST
During this screening, Ushicon attendees will vote live to help determine the category winners.
Staff Pick Awards (Main Categories)
Winners for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place in the main categories will be determined by a combination of:
• Preliminary judging scores
• Audience Choice votes
• Final input from our special Japanese guest judges:
– Yasuno Sato, Music Director of Somali and the Forest Spirit
– Ikio Izutsu, Musician for Akuma Kun
Attendance at the convention is a major factor in final placement.
Prizes
1st Place – $100 Cash Prize
2nd Place – $50 Cash Prize
3rd Place – $25 Cash Prize
Audience Choice Awards
Audience Choice winners will be selected for:
• Action

• Old School
The Top 4 Audience Choice winners in Action, Drama, Comedy, and Old School will receive:

For Non-Finalist Submissions
If your AMV is not selected as a finalist, don’t worry! All submitted videos will still be showcased at Ushicon. We will have a dedicated video room with scheduled time slots for each category. Panel times and screening schedules will be posted so you’ll know exactly when your video will be shown on a "AMV status track" TBD in a future link.
Winners will be announced after voting at the awards ceremony on
Sunday, February 8 | 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM CST
Thank you again for being part of this year’s AMV Contest — we can’t wait to celebrate your work at Ushicon!
