Tora-Con 2017 Iron Editor **Looking for editors**

Post by ibmman » Fri Mar 03, 2017 8:28 pm

Tora-Con is a two-day convention at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY.
Tora-Con hosted Iron Editor for the first time last year, and we're trying to bring it back again this year. Unlike the AMV contest, participants for Iron Editor need to be able to attend the convention. The Toddfather, a long-time AMV community member, will again be running the event.

If you're interested in participating as an editor, send an email to amv@toracon.org with the subject "Iron Editor". In order to participate, you must be able to get to Tora-Con and be able to bring a computer and editing software capable of working with footage encoded with a lossless video codec (UTVideo).
If you have friends who are editors and live in the region, let them know :)

If you're not familiar with the "Iron Editor" concept, it's a live contest event where video editors compete to produce an anime music video within the time limit and using only the footage provided to them. There are also audience participation elements throughout the event to keep things interesting.

Videos created during Iron Editor will be showcased at the end of Closing Ceremonies (time permitting), and there will be prize support.
