BAMCon AMV Contest

We're having a little AMV Contest for the upcoming, and first of it's kind, BAMCon; Berkshire Anime and Manga Convention. This is our first convention, and we're trying to make it as unique as possible. It will be the first of its kind in Western Mass, and we hope it turns out well. We're bringing unique ideas, as well as the best ideas from other conventions, right to BAMCon. Convention information aside...


We're hosting an AMV Contest! Because people love making AMVs, and we love watching them! Amiright?

So small amounts of information for the contest are as follows:

1. Registration for the AMV Contest must be done by: March 20, 2012

• Deadline for AMV Contest Submission: April 12, 2012

• Convention registration IS required to participate. Only up to 2 submissions per individual or group.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say you copied the AnimeNext rules.

You have to attend BAMCon to participate. Registration is required to participate. You must register no later than Friday, April 20, 2012.
2. Competing Music Videos

Only competing videos will be shown in the AnimeNEXT AMV Contest or NC-17 AMV Contest, and only those videos will be eligible for prizes. Not all AMVs submitted to the contest will be shown during the contest. All AMVs will be placed in 1 of 8 genres.

3. Non-Competing Music Videos

You may choose to submit AMVs to the AnimeNEXT General AMV Screening if you do not wish to compete.

7. Prizes

The Winner (1st Place), in each of the 8 genres, will be awarded with a certificate during Closing Ceremonies of BAMCon on Sunday, June 12, 2011.

I'm not saying it's bad to model your rules after another contest's; but if you're going to cut & paste an entire set of rules, you might want to at least double check for dates and the names of the other con in the paste.

My apologies. I will admit we did use that from AnimeNext as a placeholder until we had our own rules up. However we did do that a few weeks ago. Shortly after that, we had server issues and a lot of stuff was wiped. The restore must have brought up the older version of the page.

Thank you for pointing that out, we will have that changed in the next day or so.
