Can I expect to see some frame inaccuracies, like skipping, if I encoded in 25 frames per second MPEG2? It tends to be annoying working with PAL sources :?

Since the pre-judging is blind, they will be removed for the judge’s tape but will be left in for the actual showing of the contest. Bumpers will be included as part of your video length and should not be longer than 10 seconds. The AMV Contest Coordinator reserves the right to disqualify any video that is does not meet any of the above criteria.
Does this mean that if we have an opening bumper it must be removed prior to submission?

Yes, since the There are title cards for every video, it is preferable to not have bumbers at the beginming. However it's fine to have credits or short bumbers at the end so long they are after the video ends as all entries are judged blind wit no bumers or credits to be fair to everyone

Cool... I'll see how well it works out anyway with my conversion to to 24fps, but yeah, I trust you'll do a good job down your end if I don't get it to work from here :P

Hi All,

Thanks to everyone who submitted! I'm still processing al the submissions, but it looks like we have quite a few!

Although Anime Evolution used categories to be determined after in the next several days (since submissions are now closed), I would still like to see a few more comedy videos and so I'll still be accepting comedy only submissions via FTP up to Monday 6:00 pm MST (for those interested, you can always submit them to Animethon as well  )

Thanks,

Vlad
