estimated save time keeps increasing
I wanted to edit my Neji Naruto AMV and I added some negative filters in certain areas to go with the song, I also through in some text to emphasize on Neji's strikes. Aside from that, everything is the same. Now when I go to save it, it says estimating time, then it will start at like 3 minutes and maybe 7% was saved so far, then every 3-5 seconds, the estimated save time goes up a minute. I actually waited til the estimated time was up to like 100 minutes before canceling (and by the time it was at 8 minutes, it got as far as 10% and stayed there).
even tryed halving the project incase it was due to overuse of effects/trans. What's going on? I save it on 512kpbs (320/240) so it looks decent at the tube. I was able to save the whole file at a real small option, I think it was a pocket pc option at like 200 something by like 160? It saved, but obviously I could care less for such a small screen.

pocket pc is lower quality and doesn't require as much processing power to render.
yes try chopping it up I don't know if quarters will work you need to find out where exactly it's having the problem and export everything before that as one bit, start with half and then reduce each time until it saves.
While you're at it i hope your not editing with xvid/divx? 'cause that also 'causes problems. There could other reasons why it's dying at that particular point too.
1 final piece of advice.... don't upload to the 'tube upload here instead. the tube has shitty quality and this site was created for collecting every amv ever made.

Yeah cut it into parts, save each part as "high quality video (large)" for the best quality then reimport the pieces together and save it again, it should save it entirely that time.Nets_VC_15 wrote:if it was due to the effects, why does it still allow me to save it under pocket pc?
Should I just break it up into quarters?
and I checked the FAQ the first time I had this issue, when I brought up another vid that was like 7 mins long. I'll just try and chop it up.

You should consider getting more RAM to avoid this problem in the future.
And God spoke unto the Chicken, and He said: "Thou shalt crosseth the road", and the Chicken did cross the road, and there was much rejoicing.

And more RAM would fix this... your free HDD space is irrelevant.Nets_VC_15 wrote:I still have quite a lot of space on my comp, it was just the fact that WMM can't handle a video that is edited to death with tranitiosn and effects which that vid was.Gepetto wrote:You should consider getting more RAM to avoid this problem in the future.
