Adobe Premiere CS3 help

Post by xJellyBean » Fri May 27, 2011 9:12 am

Hey I would like some help with a few things in CS3:

1. How do you make a transition into a new clip through a certain point on the screen.eg(through someones eyes)as seen around the 1:00 mark of the following video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fm8DL-kv5JE

2. How do you make an image appear in the background of the clip before it during the transition, like in the 0:48 to 0:49 mark of the video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fm8DL-kv5JE
(notice how the character appears in the background before the actual clip takes place)

Hope you understood what i meant.
Thank you

It's call masking or rotoscoping.

Thank you for the quick reply. I have one more question to ask:

In CS3, how do you make a kind of "whooshing"/blur/zooming effect on the edges of the clip during a transition?

eg. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuMuK49WUCw
From around the 0:07 mark to 0:16 there are a few times where this type of effect/transition is used.

I hope you understand. Thanks

it looks like it's just an added blur effect thats added during a fade.
