Do you think Premiere CS3 is much better than Pro 2? If so, in what way? I really can't decide on which program to use but I've used Premiere 3 so I kinda like it. Do you think it's the best editing program ever for like AMVs?

usually reading the product pages tells you the new features since the last version.
Also, these new features usually don't impact amvs or the editing process.

I'd just stick with whatever you have now (provided it works)
there's many better things to blow money on than some $800 editing software.

2 cents time...
best is subjective, so best for you may not be best for someone else. The best is what you like the most and have the easiest time with,

Right.. That's very generic obvious information. But in order for me to know what suits me best, I'd have to test every single program for hours. That's why I was asking for specific technical points and how they differ. At least in my actual thread where I ask about this and no one has responded too....................

To answer the OP's question in the title, Premiere 3 was only released for Macs in 1993. There probably isn't support for files that old any more.

::shrug::

I'm just going by what's on this Adobe wiki that I found http://adobe.wikia.com/wiki/Adobe_Premiere
adobewiki wrote:Adobe Premiere 3.0 Mac August 1993[14] 99 stereo audio tracks 97 video tracks Video waveform monitor Sub-pixel motion and field rendering Batch digitizing Full framerate preview from disk Enhanced title window
It goes on to say that Premiere 1.0 came out for Windows in September of 1993, then afterwards they got back to the proper naming scheme with Premiere 4.0 in December of 1994.

Since it's for a completely different platform and is up to 15 years old, I don't think the file is compatible.
