I try to import my uncompressed .avi file in vdub and I get the error message:
"Cannot determine file type of "C:/...../.....avs"
I tried editing the FourCC code and I'm using AVISynth 2.5
This never happened before
And it's not only this file, any of the avi files I've tried[even downloaded amvs]

Re: Odd error message in Vdubmod via avisynth
If you're thinking you'll open a script with 'Open via AviSynth' that's the entire problem. That option isn't for opening scripts, and the confusion over that is what I'm certain the primary reason was for it's 'removal' (actually it was just merged into the main Open dialog) in later versions of VDubMod.
If that's not what you're doing, then make sure the script doesn't actually refer to an .avs file instead of an .avi.

I want to re-size it, I open it via avisynth as an avi file [for some odd reason it says it cant determine it as an .avs file]
I've re-installed Avisynth and now I receive a green screen when imported the same way

I rendered the alpha channel on vegas and the uncompressed video/audio file is fine. I import the video file via avisynth and edit my scripts, there's no audio so I figured I'd import the .avs file(That of course came out default when I imported via avisynth) and everything seemed find(There was sound this time), after I finished compressing; my video file turns out complete black o_O (Yea, I have all codecs/decoders).

Excuse the triple post, there's a major problem with my AVISynth where as when I compressed the video without editing it, it came out fine. I'm going to re-install AMVapp and everything and see where it goes there. [Wont quad post tho
