Actually I think that would have an adverse effect. New people wouldn't care how it works, as long as it DOES work. Having it laid out for them already... They won't learn how to deinterlace a video without knowing what to do themselves.Daniel_BMS wrote:It's kind of weird how it doesn't exist. It would be the most direct way to introduce people to the concepts required for learning how to deinterlace video yourself.
However, if you are inclined. I'm guessing if a thread got enough support by people and got enough animes (and their region encodes listed) with documented before and after images from avisynth scripts on a thread it would get stickied. The name of the thread would have to be significant for attention.
If your not that inclined then just make a post with the anime (and region) your referring to and you might get lucky. Someone might post their script.
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

So, in other words, they exploited the main flaw of wikis - the accountability gap? Who'd of thunk?Zarxrax wrote:I think one of the main problems with the old one was that a lot of people added scripts that made the anime look like crap.

What accountability gap? You had to be registered in order to edit pages.BasharOfTheAges wrote:So, in other words, they exploited the main flaw of wikis - the accountability gap? I remember there was a thread about scripts, deinterlacing scripts if I remember correctly, but I can't seem to find it, though I didn't look very hard. Last time I saw it in never even reached 3 pages and I think it only had two scripts. I believe there mighta been a link to the AMVWiki, but that mighta been in a different thread.
