Avisynth open failure

I'm trying to rip a GitS DVD I got and I'm following Vic's guide to do so but when i try opening the script on vdub this error appears:
Avisynth open failure:
MPEG2Source: couldn't open file
(C:\Program Files\AviSynth 2.5\plugins\ripping.avs\line 3)
I have no idea what to do, any help would be appreciated, if you need to know any more info just tell me.

Vicbond's guide is old, outdated, and conflicts with the newer methods commonly accepted to work.
