Skipping and deinterlacing problems

Post by Songbird21 » Wed Jan 16, 2008 3:53 am

I'm having a problem with my FMA disks. The stuff I want rips just fine but when I open it up in v-dub and scrub the video it plays a little, jumps backward a bit, lather, rinse, repeat till it finally gets to the end of the scene. I can cut together the scene so it plays normally but it makes a lot more work for me. I've been ripping footage for 4 years now and I've never seen anything like it. Is this some kind of new copyright thingy I'm not aware of? :?

My other problem is when I deinterlace the footage it only seems to do it partially. There are still some faint lines when I do a frame by frame check. Again, I could just delete the partially interlaced frames but it is a MAJOR pain in the ass. I have my deinterlace mode set to blend, the way I always have. Any ideas? :(

Thanks guys,
Song

The problem is uh Camera Angles? Funimation does this with just about all it's DVDs from what I can tell :P

what you are going to have to do is re-rip the dvd, this time when you open DVD Decryptor go to Mode and choose "IFO" and in the box on the right you need to choose a camera angle then press the start button.

I've also seen this in Fruits Basket, Princess Mononoke, Oh My Goddess! (ova), Mahou Sensei Negima...
