Installation of Avisynth+

I tried installing Avisynth+ r2085 today using the installer by Groucho as linked in the Avisynth+ wiki, but after the installation, the 32bit Avspmod stopped working displaying the following message:



The 64 bit version of Avspmod worked fine except it didn't load any of the 32 bit plugins. I then tried replacing the Avisynth.dll and DevIL.dll in the SysWow64 folder with an older version of Avisynth+ (r1779) and the 32 bit Avspmod started working again. I had the r1779 version before.

I even tried replacing the binaries with the latest build but it too displayed the same error.

What can I do to fix this while keeping the latest build?

32-bit plugins will not work with 64-bit AviSynth and vice versa. I would recommend uninstalling all versions of AviSynth and starting again from the AviSynth+ installer and installing both 32-bit and 64-bit. Personally I recommend sticking with regular AviSynth for 32-bit and only use 64-bit if you are attempting to use things like the Premiere plugin as it is not quite as stable and the plugin support is not as good.

So you can't utilize both 32 and 64 bit plugins together in a script? Uninstalling and reinstalling did not work so I'll just stick to the version I used before for now.
