Post by blaze077 » Fri Apr 15, 2016 11:18 pm

What is the difference between Spatial, Temporal and Spatio-Temporal Denoisers and where would one use each of them?

Thank you.

Spatial denoising takes a single frame and uses certain area based blending methods to reduce that noise. Temporal method of noise reduction uses information from frames before and after the current frame to blend parts of them together to reduce the noise. Spatial-Temporal denoisers use both methods to reduce the noise.
