some semantic you pulled out of your butt... "more recent" doesn't mean "created 5 minutes ago" I know the program is a bit wonky but they could have an even older version of it or something @_@

Make sure your desktop color depth is actually set to 24 or 32 bits?

Did you try recreating the .d2v file? Maybe the index is broken. I'd say maybe DGIndex is messed up, but if other .d2v files are working....
