ok, did that
went back to square one, ripping, all the way to where I got stuck
(following Vicbond007's guide)
I redid the d2v file, rewrote the script:
MPEG2Source("C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\My Videos\Edit projects\VTS_02_1.d2v")
I made sure all the paths were valid. There is one thing though that I was curious about. In vdub, there's two options in the file menu: Open video file and Open video file via avisynth.
I tried using both options on the same script, but I always get errors. The first option gives me the "obselete d2v file" crap that I've been getting recently, and the other one says "AVISynth open failure! Evaluate: Unrecognized expression"
I've noticed that the second option also generates its own script that looks like this:
#ASYNTHER Default (AVISource)
AVISource("C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\My Videos\Edit projects\VTS_02_1.avs")
Either way, no progression...I don't know why I can't get my damn video into vdub...is there any other way to get dvd footage in without having to script it? I swear, there's something wrong with me...

you shouldn't need to re-rip the vob's, but still...
Everything sounds about right
As long as you have everything from here or here [one or the other but not both]
and no other conflicting programs [including old versions or updated versions or duplicates]
then that should be all you need. [For reference... I use the guide above, but I've followed Vicbond007's guide before and it's essentially the same thing]
that's usually a fix-all solution so...
/I got nuttn
