hey no luck on the new TFM values. Looks the same.
I want to note, when I go thru (both the original and the processed) the videos frame by frame in vdub, I only see these lines everyone once in a while, not every 5 frames or anything like that. Maybe a minute or two... can someone watch the video I posted in the first part and tell me if its indeed interlacing that I'm dealing with? Should I post like a 30 frame sequence to demonstrate? Would that help?

here all the full res versions as requested. Old

Looks like interlacing to me. Have you tried Kernalbob? My standard script always includes kernalbob.
hoshinokoe.avs wrote:mpeg2source("T:\SOURCE\The Voices of a Distant Star (region2-jp)\hoshinokoe.d2v")
Telecide(1)
Decimate(5,mode=0)
KernelBob(order=1,sharp=true,threshold=8)
BlendBob(badFrames=0)
deen("a3d",4)
Crop(24, 24, -24, -24)
LanczosResize(640,480)

Kionon where have you been all my life. As of now, your script seems to have worked... magically. I will repost once I get going on the AMV again and let everyone know if its as solved as I think it is.
