I need some advice on a 16:9 format and what size to make it.
Should l make it 848/480 or 1024/576?
What size was it meant to be?
It says 1024/576 is 16:9 on AvsP?
Really confused at this point.
Thanks.

the 1024X576 is 16:9 for PAL but upscaling takes a lot of space and looses some quality, so I rarely bother.
For a PAL source I usually go 848X480 (while not quite 16:9 zarxgui doesn't bitch at me when I use it) is close enough that people dont notice and premiere thinks it's 16:9 so it shuts up and doesn't throw up weird errors either.
Recently I've been using 768X432 on my MEPs and where i'm mixing 4:3 and 16:9 sources.
So whatever floats your boat I suppose... just think of the final format it will be viewed on (pc or tv) that'll tell you whether to use square pix resize settings or not. Find out if the source is PAL or NTSC annndd bob's yer uncle (he is mine at least and going grey)

Thanks for the help. I was hesitating to make it bigger because of the quality at first but wondered if it was supose to be like that O.o. l'll just keep it at 848/480 then.Autraya wrote:the 1024X576 is 16:9 for PAL but upscaling takes a lot of space and looses some quality, so I rarely bother.
