.avs file doesnt play?new to using avisynth..

oh ok thanks!Phew!Thought I was the only one with everything not working and different from others!

Well you see,I decided I'd clean all my downloaded footage before I edit.And it would be so much better if I could just cut out the start and end parts of the video(the uploaders messages).I'm sure I read it somewhere but I can't find the exact section just now but is there anyway I could do that in VirtualDubMod?

Also(sorry for the many problems and questions) is there any particular function I could use to clear up the colours in the background?The blue/black part is meant to be water but it kind of looks disoriented.
