Nope, if the main part of the video is anime that is still ok. And it was, afaik he used a good amount of GITS Innocence
But he used a song with no name for his hellsing's amv ( * DJ Rain (unknown)) : i dunno if that's true but he might get disqualified for that considering rule #4 (All music video information in the catalog must be as correct as possible. For example, all music and anime information must be filled in correctly without errors such as "various" or "unknown" as the anime title, musical artist, or song. If a video creator fails to correct all of their video information before the deadline (listed below), all of the videos created by that creator will be disqualified from consideration this year.)

alright, I have just watched
Another Half by NetTroop (NetTroop Studio)
and you can forget everything I said before. That is the video that deserves it the most. It's increadible. Special effects on absolutely different level. Unbelievable.

ok, sorry guy for flooding but I noticed at the end of Another Half video there is some info about AKROSS. I became curious and I researched it. The thing that I speak Russian helped as well.
Anyways, it's an Organisation of Russian AMV Creators. Just a while ago they had a competition analogous to our annual Viewers Choice Award. I downloaded some of the winner AMVs and I'm telling you those are worthy. You can take a look

Even though language is Russian, it's not a problem to navigate b/c it's simply a download page with links to different AMVs.
Btw, Scorpions Ultd is a member of it as well and his
Whisper of the Beast got Best Action.

I've just downloaded THE MOST CREEPY Elfen Lied video I've ever seen in that website (note: DON'T WATCH IT IN THE DARK).
Those Russians are damn good!

hehe. If you noticed under the link there is big WARNING! sign. It also say in Russian in big red letters : not recommended for viewing for people with vulnerable mind
