That and Surfing the Blocks would get my vote.

This is another category I would hope Kyo's Habit would have a chance in...

Meh, I didn't really like Olin, I didn't like the floating hexagons. :?

Here's what I'm nominating so far:

Shounen Bushido by istiv

Whisper of the Beast by ScorpionsUltd

Surfing on the Blocks by Xarxax

Oh My Destiny by xRinoa

Noise by Anton Kleshchyov

Extraordinary World by ErMaC

Do it Right! by AbsoluteDestiny

Plus nearly all the videos by pianos have good effects... I'm not sure which one I'm nominating yet.

I think there's going to be tough competition for this category...

No, no, wrong category. This is for overt visual effects, not Implied Special Digital Effects.

***

I don't think I have much to offer beyond what's been noted already, but this is certainly gonna be a hot category for this year.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

"Special Digital Effects" and spinning bananas are enough. I'm only slightly joking here.

Personally I was a fan of the very professional use of effects in Kill Spike by Tyler_yj.

Nominate Olin for: "Most hotly contested use of effects and spawner of bi-polar oppinions."

It could steal the title from Euphoria!!!

But it'd get some pretty strong competition from Shounen Bushidou. :D
