It's a pretty darn good video for a first video. She has a very good artistic eye. Needs to work some on her timing, but that comes with practice. I really think people should check out her video and nominate her video.

Oh, lord, I don't want to pimp myself (huge fib) but here goes. Start the Commotion!? is my first video, and to date, probably the most well-received. After all, junior high school humor is funny!
Just follow the link in my sig line (the one that says Blood is funny. That's right.)
And hopefully everyone will enjoy it. Thanks!

Check out my video. Neon Genesis Evangelion-Come Sail Away

It's my first ever AMV, and is up for a couple other categories.
Might as well throw mine in

My lovely first AMV, made in three days straight with no sleep in time for an unexpected convention deadline :p
Light romancy effort of Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou to This Kiss by Faith Hill.. No subtitles on it, but did have translated overlays in it, mostly because it added that one or two extra visual jokes for those who can't read kanji ;)
More or less zilch in the way of effects, it's all simple cuts, fades, moving paths and crafty timing.

While technicaly this video is not my first video, it is my second and is the only actual AMV (the other being a trailer)
Shinji is blue
NGE
Effel65 - Blue

I know people here have viewed, it but it having been up for 9months and only having 100something dls anoys me. Maybe If I try to promote it here, then it will get some actual star ratings or reviews. I dont care if their bad or whatever, I just want some kinda feed back.
My real first video is
Evangelion Matrix trailer
(Origional Matrix)
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... d_id=37889
I dont know why the date listed for this video says 2003, the video wasnt available for dl untill march 2004, the the remastered version (of which this is) wasnt completed until that time anyways, so I dunno why that date is up there. (so I am unsure if this video qualifies for this VCA)
This video actually has 1 op, so Im happy, but id really like more feed back. (same deal no star rating yet)
End rant.

Wow! Thanks for the vote of confidence.

I didn't want to nominate myself, mainly because I thought Brolly's Wasted Years sorta left my little vid in the dust

Hey Inertia, thanks for that heads-up and nice vid. You got a nom from me
I liked The Narutrix a lot when I saw it at Amecon, btw. Nice work.

I want to send out a very big "THANK YOU!" to everybody, who nominated my video
Good News Week for "Best First AMV". You make me a very happy fellow. ^_^
I would also really like to point out to
Half an angel ego.
I think it's quite original for a "First AMV" and I also liked that it made good use of all the lyrics and not just the refrain, like too many other non-german AMVs with german lyrics.
If you haven't seen those two AMVs: download them, you will like them. ^_^

ATTENTION!
Something Alex from ScorpionsUltd brought up:
"Best First Video
The first video ever made public by a creator that was better than all others' first videos (and perhaps even later videos). This video has set high expectations for the video creator’s videos to follow."
I think that point, technically, should make the AMV qualified for the category. I suppose us category-skeptics can tone it down somewhat then...
