Commercial MEP?

Post by Kionon » Sun Mar 05, 2006 9:31 pm

I know quite a few of you have done this on your own, but I'm interested in starting a MEP where people choose short commercials (30 seconds or under) and run with them. In the end, I'll compile them all together. There really isn't any stipulation besides the fact I'd like them all at 640x480, the time limit, and that the audio must be from a product commercial (no trailers, sneak peaks, etc). The higher the quality, of course, the better. Lossless codecs are also a good idea, although not mandatory.

Anyone interested in getting on board for this?

Any sort of deadline your aiming for? It'd give me a chance to edit while trying to figure out my overly grand ideal's for my doom video. I have some idea's but any serious editing which is required by doom and possibly my commercial idea's would have to take place post end of the college quarter in a few weeks.

No deadline yet. I want to find out how much interest there is first. I'd like it all finished by, say, may? So perhaps I can still send it in to some cons, at least for exhibition.

Nice idea. But do you mean get comercial audio from a real commercial and put it to anime? If so, does the audio have to have a song?

Yes and no, respectively.

Hmm, seems like there's a decent turnout.
