Dark Side of Phobos interest gauge

Post by Prodigi » Fri Sep 09, 2005 9:14 pm

Doom: The Dark Side of Phobos
The above link is to the new album edited and compiled by members of OCRemix, and the whole 23 Track album is compiled of Doom remixes. I highly like the idea of a MEP to this album. You can either download the entire album (the album is non-profit) over Bittorrent [in WAV formats] or by going to the site and downloading from their media page [in MP3 format].

Who would be interested in participating in this project?

Wow, those are some killer tracks right there.

I'd be interested if I had the slightest idea of how to use them. Dunno if it would serve best as a "use Sci-Fi anime only," base your source selection solely on the title of the track, or just plain "crazy go nutts." An established theme would really help the project.

Well considering that, if the project were to get under way, the first track would be an "intro" into the video and going by the actual sound of the tracks, i'd have to say the theme would be more "horror" or just plain freakyness [Not freaky in a funny way altho].

That isn't to say that only Horror styled Anime's could be used. I've seen many non-horror genre Animes made into excellent Horror AMVs. For instance, Lain, in my opinion, is not a horror anime, yet i've seen many freaky music videos for it out there, so all in all it would be up to each creators choice on how to portray their track.

EDIT - Although the creator of a certain track may feel the track presents a differing theme, and they by all means are welcome to go with a different style or theme in the video, i'd just need and explanation of the theme.

Also, creators shouldn't be scared off because each song is around the 4 minute mark. Each creator can make the choice whether to use the full track length, or to cut it down to their own requirements, all that i ask is that the intro and outro of each song remains so that going from one track to the next will be simpler for me.

I've actually got some pretty badass imagery in my head for the first 1:30 or so of "01-Hangarmageddon" using Gungrave. Dunno if that footage actually exists in the show to pull it off, but I sure wouldn't mind seeing what would result from trying. :P I especially wouldn't mind seeing if I've actually got the grapes to pull it off.
