Kev put it this way, I've taken a look at pretty much the track listing for all band based MEPs as well as ones which are completed already, people complain about music orientated MEPs because there is nothing to distinguish them from each other, especially when its this kind of music. I don't even want to count the number of Bebop tracks done by Arash or DCG, no offense to them because they like the anime, that's fine. But I don't want to be apart of a MEP where the viewer would just skim across tracks to the end then delete because its the 'same 'ole scenes', that's all there is to it really. Yu Yu is not as overdone as bebop in music MEPs but its getting there. DBZ just looks like crap and any MEP which uses it automatically drops down a level =/ This MEP at the moment have very decent anime choices so it'd be a pity for any of those 3 to be used, in all honestly Naruto, AMV wise is overdone, but not MEP-wise =|

Nerd: you clearly do not understand the meaning of being 'bitchy' I've merely stated my stance on anime choices for the sake of this MEP and because it has a nice mix and could be as enjoyable as Project Trinity if it doesn't go along the path of another medicore band MEP; I didn't even say it in a rude way. Now, lets take a look at your post in Kev's bday AMV thread shall we...?

I'm just saying when you already say you would drop for such a 'low' reason, The Coordinator would be stupid to let you in. Also, This may just be your damn Opinion, its not everyones Opinion. I may agree about Lots of Bebop mep tracks, but eh, it doesnt bother me at all :/ And for DBZ looking stupid, this is just a matter if personal taste, also DBZ is banned from most meps anyway, a few more decent dbz tracks (or videos in general) wont hurt nobody.

And as for Yu Yu Hakushu, I don't get it at all, so far I've only seen 1 good amv and 1 mep track (no matter if good or bad) with it :/ I'm not a fan of the animation either, but banning an anime for the way it looks is just stupid.

It's not really a low reason, I'd encourage all editors in this MEP to drop immediately if it looks like the anime choices will result in a crash and burn project, afterall they are the ones putting time and effort into this, it is unfair for a few overused styled tracks to cause these tracks to be overlooked and skimmed over, this would essentially make all the effort put in meaningless. Of course its just my opinion. I'm not expecting everyone to agree with what I say, but I do hope it'd be taken into consideration. As with Yu Yu, its not the animation as much as the way the anime presents itself to an audience - a shounen anime which can only make use of lots of external synch type editting, if there is a yu yu MEP track with a considerable amount of depth I'd love to see it

In any case I feel very de-motivated to join this now, I'll probably just finish the song as a solo video at some point, no harm done. Carry on. By the way is there a full mix mp3 of this MEP? I'd love to add it to my mp3 player.

Idk. Not just you Oropher, but anybody I'd be afraid to lose them from my MEP like.. halfway through just because somebody joined using an anime they don't approve of for WHATEVER reason. Sure DBZ, Bebop, and naruto are overdone...but if somebody can make a good track with one of them then I don't see the problem. Maybe you can even be a little more harsh on them to come up with SOMETHING different from what we always see (We get it, Spike doesn't like vicious... get over it)

As for general MEP stuff. Oropher PMed me and told me to tell everybody to aim comments or questions or.. idk, whatever at me until he gets all moved and whatnot. I'll do the best I can to answer questions...but I will not make any decisions until oropher is back to approve or disapprove of them.

sorry even though I'm a Catholic yet leaning towards the boundaries of it and athetism I'd still feel guilty for joining an anti-christian MEP =P
