On the name confusion:
There is already another "Instrumentality" project in the works, and "Instrumentality" in itself is rather vague, so I was thinking either:
"Animasia: The First Instrumentality" (I prefer this one)
or
"Instrumentality: Animasia" (I mentioned this one a couple dozen pages ago)
The reason for keeping the Animasia is the Fantasia tribute thing, the reason for keeping the Instrumentality is to denote what kind of project this is - something that will become more relavent as other Instrumentality projects are completed.
---
I personally prefer blue text to red, and think white works best for keeping things neutral, but any of the three will work just fine.
---
I've seen TVs with slide clickers used to advance frames. Actually TVs connected to laptops connected to slide clickers - but same idea. The reason for using a TV rather than a projector screen is that the projector itself wouldn't be visable and it'd probably be more difficult to pull off a convincing projector effect with a properly colored light stream, and the washed-out look, and some way to create a realistic projection screen... The reason for the clicker and the click sound (which would be light - I'm not going for a PowerPoint presentation here) is just to connect the images to the speaker to the monologue and to provide an excuse for why all you can see is the guy's hand. This is assuming that the "masterpiece theatre from a different angle" setting will win out. I could always make it a remote, but that'd have a few logical problems too.

Blue as in the glow in my sig image?Bakadeshi [AuN Studios] wrote:The bumpers are nice Jasper. Not sure on the red though... maybe a blue would have a softer feel on it. just my opinion anyway.
Yeah it does seem kinda awkward, but unfortunately that's just how the font is. I could either bring the two lines farther apart (which would also look awkward because you'd have one skinny loop hanging out in a huge space in between lines), or use a different font (though it seems that some of us are really attached to the current one) OR just leave it the way it is.However, Does the words have to overlap? it seems kinda awkward to me how some of the letters are long enough to pertrude behind the Directed By line.
I have a 668 MB huffyuv version of my amv ready for upload. Which ftp should I send it to? I'll probably split it into two halves since the upload is gonna take so long...

Whoa... when did I double post?
I updated all the bumpers with blue glow and a new (and hopefully better) font. The blue glow gives the text a dreamier look and is definitely better suited to the theme of our project. The new font (CAC Lasko Condensed) is a lot less problematic than before and has its own healthy dose of loops and flourishes. Check the link above to see how it looks.

Probably about one more month to release. The whole compilation process still needs to take place, along with the creation of the narrative sections, intermission, bumpers, and credits. I'm on the narrative visuals and credits audio right now, the narrative scripts should be coming in soon, and Jasper-Isis seems to have the bumpers completely under control, so it's all just a matter of spending time to work on them.
BTW - what I'm doing with the credit audio is creating an arrangement of "Fly Me to the Moon" that moves through the musical styles of the videos as their credits info is shown. The arrangement is coming together in a different order from the film, but the point of the musical styling is to give a quick reminder of the video as it's info is shown. I think the visuals will consist of small screenshot rectangles fading in and out along with the text, but I have to finish writing and recording the audio before I can do the video. The writing part is around 1/3 right now, the recording is being done as a combination of MIDI work and actual guitar and drums.
