Here's a stupid question (two, actually): Do you have a preferred framerate for submitting and how do I make sure my XviD doesn't have B-frames?

23.976 is the preferred framerate, but it really doesnt matter. To make sure your xvid encode doesnt use b-frames... find the option for b-frames in the encoding settings and set it to use 0 b-frames.

That sounds obvious but it doesn't say "b-frames" anywhere. Is it the "B-VOP" thing?

Sorry for being a noob, but I only really do what the guides say on the encoding part.

Thank you. XviDs are really a lot better to upload via a 300kbps conection than huffys.

Man.. I need to find some time to do some stuff for this version. I have ideas but no real free time lately, except for when I'm supposed to be sleeping....

(yes, a lot of my ideas are from actual songs or skits that are on a music CDs)

Oh Alan, would my one failed attempt from AMV Hell 3 be accepted this time around?
It was that one I did to Perfect Blue. (if you remember)

I don't remember, but if it wasn't good enough for hell 3, it sure wont be good enough for hell 4 :p
