Sorry guys, I wish I could help out more, but I have to pretty much disappear for the next two weeks due to AP's. When AP's are over, tho, I'll have the time to download and comment AND work on a new segment (which hopefully will be better than FM :D ).

Do we have a track listing as of now? I don't want to repeat a song or an anime (althought that's highly improbable).

If y'all aren't tired of piano music already, I'll be using Shiita no Ketsui, a song from Laputa: Castle in the Sky. It's nice, short, and perfect for what I want to do. I'm still deciding between two animes, and I think it'll come down to whether or not I get a hard drive upgrade within the next two weeks...

I can access the FTP just fine, just remember to go to the new address above :D

Hmm - hasn't worked for me yet - or have you turned it off again?

OK, I did a mpeg 4 version and it was beautiful and perfectly synced. :o
Only problem is that it's 180 megs, I'm fixing a couple of small problems and then redoing it, so look for it in the inbox later tonight.

I'm looking especially for input on the end of the video (from 5:30) and any general comments about sections that seem too long or things that don't work or make sense. I haven't fixed the timing issues before the glass wall scene that Otohiko mentioned yet so ignore those unless it's a general comment.

Rose4Emily - can I get some outside people to do a beta test and get the file off the FTP? I guess you've posted the address but I thought it would be better to ask first anyway.

I think premiere couldn't really handle Xvid cause it was worse than craptastical, it was similar to what you'd see if you tried to compress a video to like 5 MB and then added some extra compression artifacts.

I think that I may have used every single significant angle/shot in this entire movie in my video.

Ha ha, double post!

Video is up. Sorry for the size, for some reason 100 MB is as small as I could make it right now. I'll keep trying and I may get a smaller version.

At this point I'm a little pressed because of finals as are most of us but they should be over soon. I'm going to do some reviews that people have been waiting way too long for. (And at the same time see if I can break 1000 for my average. :))

After that I'll be in beta testing mode, trying to get as much feedback as possible so I can make this vid as polished and smooth as I can, hopefully I'll be able to make some real improvments because I'm wishing it had turned out better. Maybe it just doesn't affect me as much because I made it (execpt for the flashback, I still can't belive I made that, the entire video was worth it just for those 20 some seconds.) So I'm definatly open to suggestions even if they involve re-working whole sections.

Good luck on finals/AP's everyone, and good job so far on the videos.

Hmm, I've been having trouble with the FTP. I'll check my firewall settings - but for some reason, it keeps cutting me off after I get 100-200kb of the file. I hope that's just a problem on my side...

Pen-Pen - having outside people download and watch your video should be fine.

Otohiko - things download for me. It is possible, if you were trying last night, that the problem was the school network being overwhelmed by people trying to open connections for our first-come, first-served course registration system. I don't have anything on my end that should be timing out, and I know I've had a constant internet connection as I've been either SSH-ed into my CS account or plugged into the registration system through Telnet for most of the last 24 hours.

Anyone else having download issues?
may seeds of dreams fall from my hands -
and by yours be pressed into the ground.

Hmm, that server clearly doesn't like it. Haven't been able to connect to it today yet, either. And it's not my firewall judging by all the things I already tried...
