OK as far as effects go, if you've got it, flaunt it. I'm not saying you have to go crazy or anything and the story should still be the main focus, but some razzle dazzle will go a long way to making the video more veiwable and the sections uniqe.

I've pretty much settled in as far as school is concerned. I think I'll give that second section another shot, although I'll have to learn Final Cut Pro, as that is what my school uses. I've been a bit lazy since I got the song up but hopefully I'll be able to get this project up and moving again.

Progress report anyone?

alright since im mostlikly the only still not editing yet i just thougt id through out a small little update

Ok like i said before i was having problems with the thrid disc of the Complete Collection Version of Ceres. Well i tried a few different things and no matter what it wouldn't rip even when i did each vob by its self no matter what the third disc wouldn't rip. Well after about almost 2 weeks of wanting to through my computer out my window i deleted all that i had of ceres off my hdd and riped them again and guess what the third disc riped fine :? . Dont ask me why i wish i knew but anyway with this little push after my Iron Chef match this friday night i am planning on startng editing. And sicne i have all the scenes layed out in my mind and some on .txt document it shouldn't take me to long to get everything done. Hopefuly no longer than a month since im not to good with effects and the ones i plan on doing wont take to long to do.

I haven't made much progress since my post on the previous page...
But my editing shall be back in full swing by mid-March!

My style for this segment seems a bit mundane right now, so I'm gonna give myself a little more time to see if I come up with anything fresh...

The fact that new AMVs ideas keep coming up during this period of stalemate isn't really helping my progress. :?

I got back to work on my segment a few days ago. I also started college this week and found a job yesterday. Despite the heavy work load I'l probably work faster on it now because I dont get that lazy "cant be fucked doing anything other than counter strike" feeling that one gets from being on holiday for 5 months.

Jasper I know how you feel about having a load of idea. Their are at least 3 amv idea that I'd love to start work on, and another that I'm actualy working on. You've just gota push yourself to finish what your doing now, otherwise you'l know that your going to get distracted and not finish what you'd originaly started. Off cource its allways a good idea to do a bit of practice amv'ing in between something that you realy want to turn out special.

PenPen, have you heard anything from themaan? he seeps to be the only person who hasnt poped his head out to say anything since the track selection was finalised.

I've just been a little... dead. The main thing for me right now is to do some installation and such, to get all my editing stuff back together, and pray that nothing has since been lost or corrupted in the project files.

The other issue is, of course, the fact that I've been trying to 'disengage' from direct AMVing lately, though that certainly shouldn't dissuade me from my commitment to the project in the long run.

Or, to put it simply, my segment will be updated, reworked, and completed in due time. But not right now...

I made the first few seconds of mine, was displeased, deleted the timeline and have a new idea percolating. Maybe this weekend I'll try putting something on the timeline again. :)

Hmm okay. I'll set a goal. I'm going to have my segment done by the first week of April.

Current completion status? About four seconds. :P But my segment is short (under two minutes).
