Toji Fujawara wrote:damn sorry bout this but i have another couple of questions

1) I noticed that you weren’t to happy with me using a little actions so i would like to know what you would like more.

2) with that said which anime would you think would go better with this section Ayashi No Ceres or Rahxephon
The split could be at 9:00, 9:15, or 9:32. At least that's what I see as the logical choices.

I watched a few more of your videos (wasted years and keeping up with the kids) and I think you and song have very similar editing styles. As far as just anime goes, I think Naruto would be best for the first segment and maybe Ayashi no Ceres for the second. Rahxephon has an eva like epic feel, but Ayashi, from what I've seen, is much more personal and dark. Actually, that anime could work in either section.

As for expectations, because this is the "break" section I don't have a lot of requirements. Just match the tone of the piece and lay down some solid editing (which I know both of you are capable of) and it will turn out fine. Since this is the only split up section, (so far) if you want to collaborate and have the pieces be related to each other in some way (plot wise, character wise, hopefully already mood wise, be creative) then that's fine, but not absolutely necessary.

The first of the guitar solos has been assigned. 7:30-7:50 will be some neat swordplay from Lotoss wars, courtesy of Kalium (also known as the guy who never actually has had a segment in an instrumental project, but helps with the planning and hosts stuff for them.:D)

Also, since he is on the staff at Animania, he can also get us a nice big screen debut. Plus that walking idea generator gave me the idea to use Mononoke for the Journey section. I'll rip the footage tomorrow and see if it works as well as it think it will. I might be back in the game for a serious segment here.

That leaves only the organ section as a major unknown, I hope to cajole someone into doing it so I don't have to cut the song, I've already got someone in mind...

Pen-pen, do you want us to convert the mp3 to a wav file and edit with that for now?

Penpen am I still in or not? (check your PM's). I think I was being a bit overemotional when I said that. But I'l have a small beta (10-20 seconds) uploaded tonight, or early tomorow at the latest.

Of course you're still in. Sorry about being slow about responding to the PM, but I did get it.

Where are you uploading it?

Yahoo Briefcase lets you upload files upto 5MB and you get 30MB of storage space so I'l be puting all my beta's thier.

Oh and, tomorow, tonight and anything like that is different to what it is in america, so I might seem a bit late. And its probaly gona be a bit late because I wana do uptil 22 seconds (thats when the music starts changing, pace starts to slow down for a bit). I seem to have found the right feel for the video, which is gona make things easier.

For those interested, I've got a few seconds of beta here.

I'm doing this as action, straight cut and simple... Although I may twist the outcome a bit. I really don't like Ashram.

Nice, the imagry is a great match for the music. The jerky style is interesting but I think the one cut where he has the sword over his head and suddenly it's in front of him is a bit jarring. You could try adding in the motion there and see how that looks. Looks promising.

I went to borders and towwer records but I could only find the first CD. I'll visit more shops today and find a copy of the one we need.

Ripping Mononoke Hime as I type.

Concept slapped me in the forehead while I was listening to the segment I chopped out. Might look good....might not. We'll see.

Ready to rip footage and start playing with this...
