OK, people: this is why I said not to worry about the video quality. I think it's a bit better now.
"The Great Beyond" finished beta:
MPG version, 14 MB, little bit less crispy than:
DivX version - warning, out of the media players I have, this will only play without lagging in the DivX player. 11 MB.
Naturally the "official" version is HuffYUV, so it's a little clearer than either.
This is "finished" in that that's all I want to do with it, but if there's anything that's particularly irritating to you, I'll see if I can fix it. The archways are going to be the death of me, but that's the best I can do with them right now, I think. Any more blended and she'd disappear. Blah. (Any suggestions there are welcome, though. I could split the whole frame in three and use masks on the sides and chroma-key in the center, I suppose.)
Enough chitchat from me. What d'you say?

Dose anyone read the annocments on the first page? kiding

Should have a video online tonight. I'll gladly listen to suggestions and make whatever revisions people think it needs, but I'm more or less done with it and am now working on other projects.
I have no idea how to use this new forum.

I still liked it a lot, 1:05-1:07 was my favourite. Oh and the badminton part in the end too.SarahtheBoring wrote: "The Great Beyond" finished beta

I think limiting the area to be keyed with masks as you said would help with that particular scene.

nonono, that's not what I said. I'm only using Premiere; I can't have two kinds of transparency on the same clip. It's either chroma-key or masking. I said I could split the frame in three parts, chroma-key the center and mask the sides, except when it's fading in and out.
I just wanted to know if that were necessary, because it's a lot of work for something as stupid as a video of mine.

Re: PROJECT REM SLEEP (Offical Thread...)
Posted beta link to the announcements page.
Unfortunately, the audio didn't sync up exactly as I had hoped it would, so I'll have to spend some time tweaking the timings.
The video operates under the interpretation that the song Orange Crush refers to Agent Orange, a chemical weapon used in the Vietnam war. Outside of that context, I'm not sure how much sense the video makes
The first clip starts a little early, but that'll hopefully make room for a nice transition. I have an idea in mind for the end transition, but I'll need a high-quality clip of the beginning of Tetsuo's video before I can start putting something together.

okay, the bad transparency has been fixed. Any other fixes that have to be made, please let me know. Thanks. (That is just a little snippet from the affected part of the track, and hasn't gone through postprocessing, so the color isn't accurate.)
Done now. ^_^; Watching everybody else's betas.
