Valentine MEP 2012 - Phase 1

Welcome to this new episode of the Valentine MEP. Like every year the org celebrates a holiday with a MEP, at this case the Valentine's Day. So if you're a romantic editor, and to want to make something for the occasion, why not doing something for the day?

Some of my current conditions:

- No matter how much experience you currently have, you can join to this MEP, meaning no auditions. However, I'll have to approve the final version of your vid, so you should send me the best version of your clip. That means I'll not go easily in the beta test, but don't be afraid
- You can send me from 1 to 3 tracks, but only if you have sent at least 1 completed track
- Please no artifacts: Logos, subtitles, interlaced footage, different aspect ratios, or bad quality/encoding files.
- Remember: This is an AMValentime MEP so all the tracks should be related to the Valentine's Day theme. It can be Comedy, Drama, Sentimental, Romance, Action, whatever way you want to show it, excepting Hentai and Gore. Org's friendly stuff please and please PG-13.
- Deadlines: 11-12 February - This day the Valentine's MEP will be premiered. Please, have your tracks ready before this day. Weekend before the Valentine's Day, the MEP will go through betatesting. Several contacts will be made before this time, so please have a word with me or CodeZTM about your track.
-I like the rule "first comes first serves" but in case 1 anime is already taken, editor A never made a contact and editor B request that anime, I'll give it to him/her. So basically don't get lost, if you believe you can't complete the track please let us know.
-Anime mix will be allowed. Even animes taken will count as long as you make a good remix with the other animes

Technical requirements for the MEP:

- Codecs: Huffy, Lagarith, MP4 (H,264), Xvid, Divx
- Audio: I'll prefer a WAV file uncompressed.
- Video 16:9 (848x480). I want to keep the same quality in the whole MEP so I'll prefer to have this format, though if everyone wants another, I will change it
- fps: 23.97 (by request )
- Make sure you don't have any problem playing the vids. I'll PM if I found any problem with it
- Remember: Best quality possible
- And like every MEP: Leave 2-5 seconds at the beginning and in the end of the clip, for transitioning purposes. This means video. If you want to leave an audio fade, it's up to you.

As far as I'm aware of, jubjub wasn't going to do another one, but I'd considered doing one myself again. Although I'm not sure if anybody was interested in doing it again, or if somebody else had a plan on running one.

I know that jubjub said that she wasn't going to do a new one, but since the Valentine MEP was the first MEP I participated in the org, I'll like to participate again if it's running once again

If jubjubs does another one I'd jump aboard in a heartbeat. If someone else decides to do it though I'll consider it depending on how reliable they are.

I´m considering taking the responsabilty to coordinate the making of this MEP though I don´t have experience making posters.

Personally I´ll like to see a new Valentine MEP but nobody mentions anything, so unless another editor mentions interest in being the coordinator, I might change the title to MEP Valentine Interest Gauge

Any requirement for track lengths? Is it a short form project?

I'll talk about the lenght. It can be at least 0:30 seconds and not longer than 1:30 minute, unless you have good reasons for extending it to even 2 minutes

Estimated extension of the proyect will depend of the numer of tracks I received, it can be 10 minutes if I have few tracks, it can be 40 minutes if lots of editors join. It will depend of the number of editors
