What's the commercial? Is it possible to edit the sound source and trim away the unnecessary bits (lengthy pauses between spoken lines, excessive sound effects, etc)? Commercials tend to have a lot of stuff that won't translate well to AMVs and only serve to lengthen the duration as filler. Anyway, a shorter clip makes better impact if you execute it right.dbz0gohan0dbz wrote:it has to be under 1.00 right? but what if the actual commercial takes like 1.22 or something...?

I also have a question for the author of this thread.
Is the title meant to be A-D-D Hell or Ad Hell? Just a suggestion, but it might help your cause to be more independent by separating your project some from AMV Hell. You might want to consider changing the title to something along the lines of "And Now a Word From Our Sponsors" or "We'll Be Right Back After This..." When my MEP was called AMV Hell 3.14 (before it became AMV Salad), fans of the series would kind of turn their noses up after seeing the video because it wasn't the same producers or the jokes weren't as sick...whatever the reason. If you want to get a project off the ground, make it your own and don't give anyone room to think you're trying to get over on name association.
Also, I have two ADD Theater videos (so named because of the usage of short clips, a la AMV Hell). Reading the title as it is now makes the project look like you're actually trying to cash in on a well-established series. If people see there is a MEP which is themed after commercials rather than random AMV Hell-type clips, you might draw more producers. Remember: the title should somehow emphasize the theme.
Just a thought....
