Anime Characters made to look less animeish

I'm looking for art of characters from anime that are transformed by some artist to look more real. I'm not looking for some anime characters transformed into a Simpson character or any other type of style of American cartoon, just a nice drawing that makes them look more real.

Here's an example.

The head is too big on the first one, but as you can see, they look less like they are from anime. So if anyone could help, I'll be be very appreciative.

The head looks proportionate on the first one.

^These 2 Witchblade ones still look kinda unreal, but that's most likely because the characters look extremly fictional to begin with.

If I remember correctly, I believe I have a couple of pics fitting this criteria lying around on my comp. When I get back home, I'll go through it and see what I can find. That first Rock Lee pic looked cool...the second one disturbed me a little bit.

I believe the Witchblade pics are quite suitable...but then again, i've seen more hardcore, so it's all relative.

And I think the 2nd Rock Lee one in the OP looks like it should be on the cover of a children's paperback novel. O.o
