First episode has ZOMBIES, and a team of high school students (3 guys and 2 girls) fighting these zombies!!! 
Second episode is mostly an introduction episode of how those group of teens met up each other, and how those rather grotesque creatures came about.
The plot is not really complicated at all (I heard this is based on a Playstation game), and the backgrounds look pretty washed out (think Speed Grapher). Though the one thing that makes it worthwhile so far is the insane action sequences. They're extremely intense and well-choreographed making it total eye-candy for anyone who loves the shounen action genre with an added kick.
The OP song that started in episode 2 is the Japanese's attempt on those screaming, grunge rock music which was really laughable! The ED is a little more tolerable to the ears.
