Okay, firstly, if you haven't seen the end of Esca, dun read onwards.

Thsu said, I shall rant now! GARGH. Anyway, at the end of Escaflowne, Hitmor freakin' goes back to earth. What kinda moron does that?!?! I mean, yeah, a life in Japan will be nice. To be with family, see her friends, live a normal life...

As compared to, y'know, a life on a great non poluted country, in beautiful Fanalia, to be the QUEEN of said country, have tons of high and powerful friends, oh, and not to mention that she'd be living with Van for the rest of her fuckin' life.... I mean, c'mon, that's SO drull as compared to living in Japan.

I remember my friends and I ranting on about this years ago when Esca was aired on TV. We always thought that she should have stayed - because we would have

Anyway, thinking about it now, I still find it a little disappointing. But I havn't watched the show since then, so my opinion may be a little biased.

Going back to Japan:

Pros:
She'll get to catch up on any anime that she's been missing.
She'll get to pine after her almost boyfriend who's leaving anyway, and reminds her of that other guy....
She'll get to chill with her parents and they won't think she was kidnapped
She'll have some awesome bar stories to tell. Too bad nobody will believe it.
She'll have a real big 'fish that got away' story with Van.

Cons:
She won't get to be Queen of a country that worships her.
She'll have to go back to school and do more standardized testing.
She'll never find someone to match Van, the guy who flys on a dragon and risked his life, country and nearly soul to save her and be with her.
She'll be a 'kid' in someones house after saving a whole country.
She'll piss off all the fans of the show that wanted her to stay.

Did I mention the whole Queen thing? Damm. Plus it must really suck for Van, I mean he's all risking EVERYTHING for her.. and she's like.. oh, hey thanks I'll call you. She should have been a bit more like that chick in 12 kingdoms that sort of figured out that ruling isn't all that bad.

Ack, but person who saw Escaflowne on the TV!! Ye must either buy a DVD or at least rent it! What you probably saw was the disgusting, miserable FoxKids dub. *shudder* OHM, how much I hate ye! *stabbity stab stab* The uncut dub is really good, only a few word changes. PLUS, we get Kirby Morrow, he does a GREAT job at portraying Van. Plus, Paul Dobson as Folken-sama. *droolage*

*cough* Anyway.... I wonder if Van'll be able to go to Earth? Didn't Hitomi give him her necklace?

Sure there is! It's my understanding that the Bible Black game even ships with a 'special' joystick/handlotion dispenser.

YES its a very dark n sexy Hentai, with violence sex... more violence.....Sex with demons....hermaphrodite teacehers, best friends raping each other, sacrifices, and a all around party in a DVD! OHM. Spew, not my kind at all! @_@ *can't handle teh rape of teh women* ANYWAY, it's Hitomi, you silly spell error person.

And there is two manga. Escaflowne was made directly for TV, and so a shonen and a shoujo version were made. Tokyo Pop were idiots, as they stupidily decided to translate the shonen version, which SUCKS... Well, I think it sucks. >.< They turned my darling Dilandau-sama into Prince!!

The shonen goes off into its own little world, even with character designs. The shoujo (and preferable) version mostly keeps with the character designs but also a slightly different plot. But for some odd reason, both versions give Hitomi long hair. @_@
