FINAL EPISODE!!!

In a nutshell,

Spoiler :

Reading this somewhat wimpy summary is not enough! Watching it with KyoAni nailing a lot of the emotional tensions makes this episode thoroughly enjoyable. And the beauty of Clannad is how a lot of the characters don't get "forgotten" and actually contribute to the overall story (Air and Kanon didn't really do that as much). And I will emphasize that overall Clannad is really a different beast compared to Air and Kanon especially how this series is really down-to-earth with its themes. And then there's the Tomoya x Nagisa couple which is seriously one of the most well-developed couple I've seen that didn't rely on cheesy romantic melodrama.

I will still keep that hope up that KyoAni will animate the After Story arc as that there's a lot more of the story to tell. This "first half" is just the beginning!

Nagisa was even more depressed about her parents giving up their dreams especially when she watched an old videotape of her dad's previous performance (I'm not good with plays, so can anyone identify the play he was doing?). And then her dad burst into the auditorium and yells at her to realize her dreams.

I can't wait for #23! (and #24) Here's to hoping they don't try to compact the entire after story into 2 episodes! (Thus eliminating almost all possibilities of a season 2)

Kanon is pretty good ,not as good as Clannad but is a whole lot sadder. And Youichi can be downright hilarious at times. As well as Ayu and her "Uguu..." and Makoto....poor Makoto.... Auu...
