I noticed that about Kurama's voice actor, too. (So much coolness.) I definitely like the English dub voice for him better than the Japanese. (Nothing against Ogata-san, but she made him sound like a 12-year-old.

It's...not just those two shows. FUNimation has about 50+ Voice actors and dubs a lot of anime, why wouldn't you think they use the same ones multiple times?

Maybe it's not thinking that they use the same ones mutliples times.....sometimes it depends on the anime and the character that they use it for^_^

Is it just me or does the voice actor for Botan the same girl who does Serena/Sailormoon and Tohru from Fruits Basket??? They're vioces somehow seem familiar...

I'm not sure about the Sailormoon thing since I don't watch that show (avoid it like the plague more like) but Cynthia Cranz (a.k.a. Botan) doesn't do Tohru.

In fact, she isn't in Fruits Basket at all. Probably one of the few YYH people who isn't.

Last night was the last episode.

I haven't seen it yet but I've seen the second to last. I think my heart stopped a couple times.

I can't believe Yusuke and Koenma aren't going to even stay in touch! Just because he isn't Spirit Detective anymore doesn't mean they can't socialize or anything.

And that bit at the end with Kurama's gag, acting like he thought the pearl was for him. *mrpfff*

I thought I was going to die! (And how many times do we get to see Hiei with a sweat drop? He was really embarrassed!)

Sorry about the double post (why can't we edit our posts here?) but I just found out more info on Cynthia Cranz.

She was on Fruits Basket but not as Tohru. She did Mii, Kisa's Mom, and some additional voices. (She gets credited with 'additional voices' a lot.)

um.. so i was wondering, why did they have different voice actors for the yyh movie? it kinda threw me off when i first started watching it. not that it bothers me or anything i just want to know why..

Another company got the movie, so they had different VAs. At least the sub is still good though...except for some of the subtitles. "KuwaHara"

Yeah..sometimes i find the subtitles that they have for Yu Yu Hakusho isn't really accurate...i mean, they confuse Hiei and Kurama's name throughout the entire series...i borrowed the original jap version from one of my friends and they would refer to Hiei as Kurama and Kurama as Hiei-_- extremely weird... i mean, shouldn't the creators know the names of the characters that they created????

*Sighs* anyways, i agree with you, Brigid. It was quite hilarious to see Hiei with a sweatdrop...and those moments don't happen too often...correction, it rarely happens...i think that was the only time he actually HAD a sweatdrop^^;

That sounds like the Hong Kong sub. Its a semi-legal sub job that was seriously botched up. There were lots of grammar errors and messed up dialogue.
