well, fillers are finally over, next ep continues the actual story, i guess both bleach and naruto anime series want to finish roughly at the same time as their manga counterparts do. interesting that both series are nearing an end, will probably close out at roughly the same time as well.

was a little disappointed in ichimaru's bankai. I figured it would be something completely crazy, but it ends up just being...

his shikai all over again just it grows even longer, i didn't even know there was a limit to the length of his shikai in the first place. I figured it would be something like tousen's (his shikai shoots a bunch of blades, his bankai is a sense depriving dome of darkness, definitely a big upgrade.) ichimaru's sword just gets a little longer, meh.

I'd say a sword being a little over 8 miles long is PRETTY ridiculous. Sephiroth, eat your fucking heart out.

i'll agree that he can snipe someone from a ridiculous distance or cut a city in half, but considering most of the major fights take place within a relatively short distance, it negates the usefulness of his weapon, especially if he ends up fighting someone who is directly in his face. best way i can see a use for his bankai is either destruction on a massive scale or to attack someone by suprise (like he did with ichigo) but in an all out fight, once his opponent knows what his sword can do they'll probably just try and keep it to close quarter combat.
