I read both manga with the same interest however...
The big difference between the 2 manga is that Berserk's artwork and drawings is magnificent while Claymore is just the classic.Shots of like 200 horses with their riders on and with every detail isn't a piece of cake to complete...
However,it's true that during their last chapters,I prefer Claymore to Berserk since the latter one is on a passive stage.No fights,no special scenes,just a lot of things to catch on.
