Anyway, does anyone know what's happening in the manga? As far as I know, there are 80 chapters(9 volumes) translated so far with a total of 12 volumes and 107 chapters.Does it deviate from the anime story and take a new direction?
As far as I'm aware, the manga had a far different plot. Which I guess is understandable considering the length.Full Metal Sempai wrote:Anyway, does anyone know what's happening in the manga? As far as I know, there are 80 chapters(9 volumes) translated so far with a total of 12 volumes and 107 chapters.Does it deviate from the anime story and take a new direction?
The name of the series comes from a poem by Eduard Mörike titled 'Elfenlied', in this case actually meaning 'Elf Song' (at least from what me and my poor German knowledge have gathered) so the correct pronounciation should be in German. 'Diclonius' is also the name of an elf from another of Mörike's poems.Kevmaster wrote:I never had problems with the pronounciation because I'm germanIshbalan wrote:Did everyone know that the correct way to pronounce Elfen Lied is "elfen LEET"?
A friend of mine and I got into an argument about how to say it, but turns out we were both wrong.
Wikipedia says:
Elfen Lied (エルフェンリート Erufen Rīto)
Am I the last person to find out about this?
And you are right, it is spelled "Leet". "Lied" is the German word for "song" which (of course), doesn't have anything to do with lies, lol.
