Ok, here's the jist of the story from Animenfo:

It's almost your typical romance story though having a setting in the hospital really changes the atmosphere. Considering this going to be a 6 episode TV series (which is seriously the shortest TV episode length I've seen yet), the producers doesn't hold back on the dramatic moments (don't worry it's not TOO emo-ish like say Saikano). There are moments like Yuichi and Rika going off together to the mountains and Rika discovering Yuichi's porn collection, though having the fact that Rika will die makes pretty unnerving. The ED sequence doesn't make it better. In a winter when he was in the second grade of the high school, Yuichi was hospitalized because of hepatitis. Soon, he became so good as to be scolded by the nurse for going out of the hospital. One day, he happened to meet Rika, a girl of his age, in the next building. He was fascinated by her beauty, but she was very selfish girl. Although she led him by the nose, he began to be attracted by her. However, when Rika told him about her illness, he knew why she acted so selfish; she couldn’t live long.

Given the intensity of the final episode, I'm not spoiling anything!
All I'll say that this is a seriously excellent romance series I've seen in a long time. 6 episodes may seem short, but the story felt complete even though there are some open-ended moments.
It's a short TV series to get into so you got nothing to lose. Go check it out now!
