Now the one thing that surprised the hell out of me is that the ADR director of this movie is Steven Foster. If you guys don't know him, he tends to put really good dubs into anime series by "bastarizing" the original script (see Voices of the Distant Star for example). The dub script for Beyond the Clouds is actually very tight to the original; he didn't make any major alterations at all which is definetely a first.

I bought the DVD just to hear the English dub. And I have to say, the dub is excellent; the VAs of the main characters did a very nice job on bringing them to life. It seemed that I understood the movie a lot better than when I first saw it on fansubs.
